Bhagavad Gita Shloka Construct

There are 700 shlokas in Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, of which 574 have been narrated by Bhagawan Shri Krishna.

In the Bhagavad Gita Arjuna gets deluded and is the seeker. However, he has only spoken 84 shlokas, of which 54 (62%!) are spoken in 1st Chapter (Arjuna Vishada Yoga) and 11th Chapter (Viswaroop Darshan Yoga).

Bhagawan Shri Krishna has spoken 574 shlokas Sanjay has spoken 41 shlokas and Dhritarashtra has spoken 1 shloka (the first one of The Bhagavad Gita)

Arjuna patiently listens to Bhagawan only interrupting with pertinent questions to clear his delusion.

Lessons to be learnt for a seeker:

– If you have to learn, Surrender completely (devotion)
– Listening is more important than Speaking
– Ask pertinent questions to affirm that you are listening carefully
– Gain Right Knowledge which will lead to the Right Action
